Thoughts at 5:30AM: Early Morning Wake Up, March 29, 2026

Today has been a long day but I did a lot of reflecting on life, work, and fun.

Nyus woke up at 5:30AM this morning. Normally he sleeps until around 7:00AM, which I thought he would do as he also woke up in the middle of the night yesterday at 2:30AM. He tends to stay awake when he gets up to go to the washroom. Falling back to sleep is not the easiest thing for him to do. So when he woke up this morning I was a little crusty.

As I was up so early and had nothing to do I got thinking about fishing again. This has ALWAYS been my most favourite thing to do out of anything. I recently have been following the Bass Master Elite series again and it has made me want to get out so much more. Lately I keep thinking about all the things I used to love to do. Having two kids, one with autism, doesnt always make it easy to do what you love.

I LOVE sunrise and sunset photos but its hard to get out to a good spot a lot.

I then started thinking about the business I created, Wedding Planning Guide, and it got me thinking. Maybe I could make a website with my passions and create a place for me to share all my experiences and creations in one place.

I have a lot of various life experiences and sharing them with others who share those experiences would truly make me happy.

That is why I created LeilaBickell.ca.

After this long day, I am going to make some popcorn and watch a new series of Homicide New York on Netflix. If you haven't watched it yet you should definitely check it out. I always enjoyed Law & Order and of course true crime documentaries, so this show is fascinating, it was created by Dick Wolf as well.
